Met the team at KCA today

KCA works in and with communities to reduce the harms and costs to communities and individuals of substance misuse and mild to moderate mental health issues by providing a range of accessible, flexible and innovative services, developing community services and responding to needs not currently being met.

They're doing great work in Thanet and... making a difference to lives.

The Thanet coast is amongst the best wildlife sites in Europe...

You can find out more about this internationally important area for birds and marine life around our chalk coastline on this website.

Kent TV

And so Kent TV is to be axed at the end of March, that's a shame as I know many Kent residents were finding it a useful resource and really like it.

However as with so many things 'the sums need to add up' and as KCC leader Paul Carter stated 'spending has to be prioritised'

It was an interesting and groundbreaking project.

Just to re-assure our crews we're not linked with Kent TV and have a different mission and objective. We're showcasing great people, great projects and the great places within Thanet.

I'm sure that comparisons and assumptions will get made however, and as an obvious effect the profile of Champions TV and our Champions will be raised.

We wish the Kent TV our best wishes as they move onto their next project.

Thanet Freeze

Funny isn't it that today people were waving to each other on the roads, stopping and helping anyone in trouble and neighbours were out talking to each other... Champion!

Whats on your radar?

We've been focussed recently on looking for the best that Thanet has to offer, and there is so much.

Funny isn't it that when you look for good, you tend to find good... so why do so many people focus on the bad?

It's just like when you buy a new car, you see so many cars the same make, model and colour
